Ajang anugerah film dan televisi yang digagas MTV, MTV Movie & TV Awards, telah mengungkap siapa saja yang masuk dalam daftar nominasi tahun ini. Di antara nama-nama tersebut, tercatat Zendaya, Carey Mulligan, Daniel Kaluuya, Sacha Baron Cohen, dan mendiang Chadwick Boseman yang akan bersaing memperebutkan piala di ajang ini.

Para aktor ini siap untuk menyabet piala Best Performance, sedang film-film peraih nominasi Oscar, seperti Judas and the Black Messiah dan Promising Young Woman, siap meraih piala untuk Best Movie, bersama dengan Soul, To All the Boys: Always and Forever dan Borat Subsequent Moviefilm.
