WGA sebelumnya telah mendiskualifikasi The King's Speech, Winter's Bone, Toy Story 3, Blue Valentne, dan Another Year. WGA mengungkapkan bahwa kelima film tersebut tidak memenuhi standar persetujuan minimal WGA, atau tidak menghormati beberapa perjanjian internasional.
