Pada hari senin yang lalu, waktu Jerman, Berlin International Film Festival ke-65 mengumumkan judul-judul film yang masuk ke lineup tahun ini. Ada 19 dari 23 judul film yang akan berkompetisi untuk Golden Bear ataupun Silver Bear. Dan sebagian besar judul film itu, tepatnya 21, akan melakukan premier di festival film bergengsi ini.

Tahun ini ada 29 negara yang mengirimkan filmnya dan berhasil masuk. Negara-negara yang berpartisipasi adalah: Albania, Belgia, Bulgaria, Kanada, Chile, Czech Republic, Finlandia, Prancis, Jerman, Guatemala, Hong Kong/China, Iran, Italy, Japan, Kosovo, Meksiko, Belanda, Norwegia RRT, Polandia, Romania, Rusia, Swedia, Switzerland, Spanyol, Inggris, Ukraina, Amerika Serikat, dan Vietnam.

Acara penganugerahan akan berlanhgsung di Berlinale Palast pada hari Sabtu, tanggal 14 Februari 2015. Acara akan ditutup dengan pemutaran film pemenang Golden Bear.

Ada dua film produksi Jerman yang ditayangkan di seksi non-kompetisi, yaitu film 3D karya Wim Wenders, Everything Will be Fine dan Elser karya Oliver Hirschbiegel. Dua fim non kompetisi lain adalah Cinderella karya Kenneth Branagh dan Mr. Holmes arahan Bill Condon.

Film pembuka festival adalah Nobody Wants the Night karya Isabel Coixet.

Presiden Juri tahun ini jatuh kepada sutradara asal Amerika, kakak beradik Ethan dan Joel Coen.
