Dari banyaknya daftar nominasi yang dirilis oleh berbagai ajang penganugerahan film yang dirilis akhir-akhir ini, tampaknya nominasi Critic's Choice Movie Awards 2015 bisa menjadi yang paling menarik untuk melihat bagaimana peta nominasi Academy Awards mendatang.

Pada tanggal 15 Desember kemarin, Broadcast Film Critics Association, sebagai pihak penyelenggara, mengumumkan daftar nominasi untuk Critic's Choice Movie Awards ke-20 yang rencananya akan berlangsung pada tanggal 15 Januari 2015 di Hollywood Palladium.

Dari daftar tersebut, lagi-lagi Birdman karya Alejandro González Iñárritu memimpin dengan 13 nominasi, termasuk untuk film terbaik. Sementara Boyhood, karya Richard Linklater, hanya mendapatkan 8 nominasi. Saingan terdekat Birdman justru adalah The Grand Budapest Hotel karya Wes Anderson, yang meraih 11 nominasi, termasuk untuk Sutradara Terbaik selain Film Terbaik.

Melihat daftar nominasi Critics' Choice Movie Awards 2015 yang cukup variatif dan berbeda dari kebanyakan nominasi berbagai ajang anugerah akir-akhir ini, bisa dikatakan jika mereflesikan dengan cukup kuat akan nominasi Academy Awards nantinya. Apalagi menilik keberagaman serta pola pemilihan nominasinya yang cenderung lebih "crowd pleasing" dibandingkan dengan yang lain.

Lagipula, tahun lalu pemenang di kategori utama Critics' Choice Movie Awards menang pula di Academy Wards. Ada kemungkinan prestasi ini akan berulang di tahun depan? Kita lihat saja.

Dan hey, selamat Angelina Jolie yang (akhirnya) mendapatkan sebuah nominasi sebagai Sutradara Terbaik untuk Unbroken yang juga mendapatkan nominasi sebagai Fim Terbaik. Jolie bukan satu-satunya sutradara perempuan yang mendapat nominasi. Ia bersanding dengan Ava DuVernay (Selma) untuk mendapatkan gelar Sutradara Terbaik dan bersaing dengan sutradara-sutradara lain. 

Dari segi akting, untuk Aktor Terbaik, jelas nama Michael Keaton menjadi sentra terdepan, meskipun nama Benedict Cumberbatch (The Imitation of Game) dan Eddie Redmayne (The Theory of Everything) menguntit di belakangnya dan siap menyalip. Penampilan gemilang Jake Gyllenhaal dalam Nightcrawler bisa menjadi kuda hitam yang mencuri spotlight.

Untuk Aktris Terbaik, tentunya nama Julianne Moore (Still Alice) yang digadang-gadangkan akan menyabetnya, meskipun ia harus berhadapan dengan penampilan yang sangat brilian dari Rosamund Pike dalam Gone Girl. Yang menyenangkan, akting memikat Marion Cotillard dalam Two Days, One Night karya Dardenne Bersaudara, akhirnya mendapat tempat di daftar nominasi. 

Sementara itu Jessica Chastain mendapatkan anugerah MVP Awards berkat penampilannya yang memukau di empat film tahun ini, Miss Julie, Interstellar, A Most Violent Year dan The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby.
