The 85th Annual Academy Awards Winners List

Well… the year’s awards season is finally over. Argo yang sebelumnya mendapatkan tujuh nominasi Academy Awards, meskipun gagal untuk mendapatkan nominasi Best Director untuk Ben Affleck, berhasil keluar sebagai pemenang utama dan memenangkan Best Picture – yang diproduseri oleh Affleck, Grant Heslov dan George Clooney. Argo juga berhasil memenangkan penghargaan Best Writing – Adapted Screenplay untuk Chris Terrio dan Best Film Editing untuk William Goldenberg. Namun, adalah Life of Pi yang pada tahun ini keluar sebagai pemenang penghargaan terbanyak. Film arahan Ang Lee tersebut berhasil memenangkan empat Academy Awards termasuk memenangkan Best Director untuk Lee.

Tidak banyak kejutan yang terjadi ketika banyak nama yang telah diprediksikan akan memenangkan penghargaan berhasil muncul sebagai pemenang: Daniel Day-Lewis memenangkan Best Actor in a Leading Role untuk perannya di Lincoln, Jennifer Lawrence memenangkan Best Actress in a Leading Role untuk perannya di Silver Linings Playbook, Christoph Waltz memenangkan Best Actor in a Supporting Role untuk perannya di Django Unchained dan Anne Hathaway memenangkan Best Actress in a Supporting Role untuk perannya di Les Misérables. Selain Argo dan Life of Pi yang memenangkan beberapa penghargaan, Skyfall, Django Unchained, Les Misérables dan Lincoln juga berhasil memenangkan lebih dari satu penghargaan di The 85th Annual Academy Awards..
