Para nominee untuk Golden Globe Awards 2018 telah dimumkan. Kristen Bell, Garrett Hedlund, Sharon Stone dan Alfre Woodard adalah yang bertugas untuk mengumumkan para nominasinya yang berlangsung di Beverly Hilton Hotel, Beverly Hills, California, pada Senin, 11 Desember.

Yang sukses mendominasi daftar nominasi untuk kategori film adalah karya Guillermo del Torro, The Shape of Water, yang mendapatkan 7 nominasi. Disusul dengan karya Steven Spielberg, The Post, dan karya Martin McDonagh, Three Billboard Outside Ebbing, Missouri, yang masing-masing mendapatkan 6 buah nominasi.

Ketiga film ini akan berkompetisi mendapatkan piala Best Motion Picturre, Drama, bersama dengan roman karya Luca Guadagnino, Call Me By Your Name dan film Perang Dunia II Christopher Nolan, Dunkirk. 

del Torro, Spielberg, McDonagh dan Nolan siap bersaing mendapatkan paial Best Director bersama nominee lain, Ridley Scott  (All the Money in the World).

Sementara itu, film karya Angelina Jolie, First They Killed My Father: A Daughter of Cambodia Remembers, terpilih menjadi nominee Best Foreign Languange FIlm. 

Nominasi untuk film musikal atau komedi terbaik meliputi The Disaster Artist, Get Out, The Greatest Showman, I, Tonya dan Lady Bird. Sedangkan The Boss Baby, The Breadwinner, Coco, Ferdinand dan Loving Vincent mendapat nominasi untuk Best Animated Feature Film. 

Yang mengincar gelar aktor terbaik kategori drama adalah Timothee Chalamet (Call Me by Your Name), Daniel Day-Lewis (Phantom Thread), Tom Hanks (The Post), Gary Oldman (Darkest Hour) dan Denzel Washington (Roman J. Israel, Esq.). 

Untuk kategori aktris, adalah para veteran seperti Meryl Streep (The Post) dan Frances McDormand (Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri) melawan Jessica Chastain (Molly's Game), Sally Hawkins (The Shape of Water) dan Michelle Williams (All the Money in the World). 

Ini menandakan nominasi Golden Globe ke-31 bagi Streep, yang tercatat sebagai paling banyak disabet oleh seorang aktor dalam 75 tahun sejarah Golden Globes. Streep telah memenangkan 8 piala Golden Globe sebelumnya dan telah mendapatkan Cecil B. DeMille Award di tahun 2017 ini. 

Untuk genre komedi/musikal, Steve Carell (Battle of the Sexes) akan bersaing melawan Ansel Elgort (Baby Driver), James Franco (The Disaster Artist), Hugh Jackman (The Greatest Showman) dan Daniel Kaluuya (Get Out) untuk aktor terbaik.

Sedangkan untuk kategori akttis terbaik, kompetisi terjadi antara Judi Dench (Victoria & Abdul), Helen Mirren (The Leisure Seeker), Margot Robbie (I, Tonya), Saoirse Ronan (Lady Bird) dan Emma Stone (Battle of the Sexes). 

Para pemenang, baik kategori film dan televisi, akan diumumkan di acara 75th Annual Golden Globe Awards yang berlangsung pada tanggal 7 Januari 2018. Komedian dan host kenamaan Seth Meyers akan bertugas sebagai pembawa acara.
