Nominasi untuk Golden Globes 2017 telah diungkap dengan Moonlight, La La Land dan Deadpool memimpin untuk kategori film. Sedangkan Stranger Things mendominasi untuk kategori televisi.

Untuk kategori Best Motion Picture Drama, Moonlight akan berhadapan dengan Hell or High Water, Lion, Manchester By the Sea dan Hacksaw Ridge. Sedang La La Land dan Deadpool akan berhadapan dengan 20th Century Women, Florence Foster Jenkins dan Sing Street guna merebutkan piala Best Motion Picture, Comedy or Musical.

Casey Affleck yang baru saja memenangkan piala Best Actor di Critics' Choice Awards untuk perannya dalam Manchester by the Sea juga mendapat satu tempat di kategori Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture, Drama, yang membuatnya harus berhadapan dengan Joel Edgerton (Loving), Denzel Washington (Fences), Andrew Garfield (Hacksaw Ridge) dan Viggo Mortensen (Captain Fantastic).

Begitu pula pememang Best Actress di Critics' Choice Awards, Natalie Portman (Jackie), yang menjadi nominee di kategori Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture, Drama, dan berhadapan dengan Amy Adams (Arrival), Jessica Chastain (Miss Sloan), Ruth Negga (Loving) dan Isabelle Huppert (Elle).

Anugerah Golden.Globes ke-74 akan berlangsung pada tanggal 8 Januari 2017 dan akan dipandu oleh Jimmy Fallon.
