Alfonso Cuarón Adalah Sutradara Terbaik DGA Award

The Directors Guild of America (DGA) Awards ke 66 baru saja mengumumkan daftar pemenang mereka dan yang paling terutama untuk diketahui tentunya siapa peraih Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Feature Film. Menilik sejarah, biasanya peraih penghargaan ini sudah terkunci untuk memenangi Oscar pula. Di tahun 2014, penghargaan diraih oleh sutradara berdarah Meksiko, Alfonso Cuarón, untuk kinerja luar biasanya di film drama-thriller-luar angkasa, Gravity.

Ini merupakan nominasi pertama Cuarón di ajang DGA Awards, meskipun sebelumnya telah meraih nominasi Oscar untuk film-film Y Tu Mama Tambien (2001) dan Children of Men (2006).

Kemenangan Cuarón di DGA Awards ini menyusul beberapa kemenangan lain yang diperolehnya sebagai sutradara terbaik berkat Gravity, yaitu:
